It was night already, the sun had gone down a few minutes ago. There was still a faint hint of day, but it was fading quickly. Shuffling down the hall, Kim stifled a yawn and stretched out her arms instead, closing her blue eyes for a second and then opening them again to see the basicly empty hallway. There was a doctor that passed by, going to see a patient or going to leave for the day, but the occurance was rare. At the moment it seemed that Kim was left alone for once, and the quite was nice if not a bit unsettling. Running her fingers through her black hair, she kept on down the same path, not really paying attention to where she was going. She said that she was just going to do a small round of the patients before heading on home, and she did, but there weren't that many patients that were awake, so she didn't have any conversation to keep her there.
Honestly she didn't want to go home just yet, even though her body felt tired and she needed to get some sleep. Her mind was awake, and it was wandering while her body was walking along at the same time. Kim's mouth was turned slightly down, not in a frown but most certinly not in a smile either. She was just wondering about her family back at home, wondering if they had called today or not. Kim usually didn't answer her cell, so her family knew to just call at her place and leave a message. Baby sis was still getting over the flu, that is to say, she was no longer blowing chunks. Kim shook her head a little, smiling. When Sis got sick, she did it well, and got it over with. It was all for the better, at least she had a good immune system. Unmonitered, Kim's feet kept moving, her hands in pockets, her eyes to the floor, lost in thought.

Once more the joys and drama of the day had faded moving swiftly only to dissolve into the night as both the moon and the stars poured a purifying light onto the world. For the most part Riley had been good during the day having slept through most of it as if he were giving the annoyed nurses a vacation. A vacation of chasing the twenty year through the hallways only have all too friendly hands greet them when they caught up to the young man. There was no real excuse from what Riley would put them through other then that he was bored, that the hospitial was a dry and dull place that needed to be livened up. Like a vampire as soon as the sun faded behind the horizon Riley was up not exactly bright eyed and bushy tailed but close enough. As usual the only thing that could dampen his mood was the little gown that all patients were forced to wear, sure it got a rise out of him in the begining since he could easily moon the nurses in it but it was drafty in it. Honestly who came up with the idea of the hospitial gown anyways, it was like you were wearing a sheet or a shower curtain and even then it didnt exactly cover you all the way nor did it keep you warm. Hell maybe it was some odd-ball who liked watching frozen nudes or something.....
A dull haze lingered in his eyes as his body flipped and flopped soon finding itself siting up pointing towards the doorway yet for the moment he was still in bed, it was like the runner was ready by the shot hadnt been fired. Riley was only human what this meant was that no matter how devious he may or may not be he couldnt exactly get up and do what he wanted from the get go. Like all people when waking up he just needed a few minutes for the clouds of sleepiness to stray from his mind, without the aide of a close by supply of caffiene it was usually a slow process where the body tried to decide if it wanted to go back to sleep or do something. Even if you never truely notice it always there is that little thought asking if you want to go back to sleep or not, usually this is followed by a small check list of what you have to do if you stay awake since everyone has that little routine when waking. A yawn escaped passed his lips as the decision was made with Riley's body pushing off and rising up from the cozy little bed, he had been rooted to the thing all day now that it was night time he needed alittle exercise. For the firsr hour or so he'd probably wander around just trying to find the staff lounge, sneak in and grab some coffee or soda or whatever was laying around.....sure there was the caffeteria but you got a better sense of satisfaction when taking it from somewhere you werent suppost to go.
A second yawn echoed out of the room and drifted down the hallways as his body staggered out of the room just barely glancing at the wheel chair from his previous night of funtime, too bad it had ended early when being caught by Dr.Chase. Bleh there was no time to think about the past now even if said past was only last night, save for a few nurses that willingly ignored Riley the halls were pretty empty almost appearing as if the hospitial had been cleared out while he was asleep. Who knew maybe one of the doctors went insane and started a riot or something along those lines, but then again the hospitial would be totally cleared which didnt explain the random person he'd see every couple of minutes. Whatever no doubt it would escape his mind as soon as he got some to drink it would be at the moment the liquid traveled down his through that then Riley would become the before mentioned brighteyed and brushy tailed. But soon enough fate would lay something or better yet someone in his path so that the journey for caffeine would be interupted and possibly stopped.
Honestly it seemed that during the night absolutley no one watched where they were going, someone would find the floor the most interesting thing in the world and there were those who thought the same about the ceiling. This had been the case the previous night when Riley almost ran over a doctor in a wheel chair but now the table would be turned as he would be the one being ran into, the young man was a couple steps the corner of the hallway when she poped up. With eyes glued to the floor and Riley not completely awake it was impossible for either to get out of the way for the other, there was only the feeling of someone walking into him before a hand shot out to grasp the corner. Hell with only the deathly thin hospitial gown on along with a pair of boxers Riley didnt really want the child of the cold floor to ensnare his body. it was a combination of the suddenness of the impact along with the fact that the walls were as polished as the floor that finally made him lose his grip as both Riley and the girl fell to the floor.

Kim had been drifting off for a few moments before she was suddenly and sharply pulled back into reality when her and someone suddenly collided around a corner, causing this sudden mass of sharp cries and a grunt when they both finally hit the floor. For a second Kim thought that the guy wouldn't hit the floor because it seemed that the guy had a grip on the wall, but apparently the hospital liked slicking down their walls or something else silly like that. She had already landed on her back behind him, knocking the wind out of her, but the fact that he slipped and landed ontop of her right after that did not help matters in the least. Her hands rested on the guys sholders and she pushed up slightly as she coughed, gasping for breath and shaking her head for a second as the black dots waved away from her sight. Her hair was a complete mess by not, black tufts sticking up in random places.
Shaking her head a little, Kim noticed that the guy was wearing a hospital gown. Patient? Oh god, I just ran into a patient... She thought with wide eyes. Her hands pushed the guy up into a sitting position and she slightly scooted out from under him, leaning foward and looking over his sholder at his face. "Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! Are you alright? Oh jeeze, no you're not, you wouldn't be in a hospital if you were." She said a little impatiently with herself, pushing herself up onto her feet once again. She didn't bother straightening out her clothes, it was better to get the guy standing up first and making sure she didn't do anything that would seriously harm him.
She kneeled down to him and checked to make sure he was still coherant, wincing slightly at her own stupidity of wandering around and not looking where she was going.
