Clad in a white dress shirt, royal blue silk tie, black dress pants and a pair of buckled black leather Aldo’s, Jack Valentine stood on line in the cafeteria waiting to pay for his coffee. He had left his white lab coat and stethoscope in Medical Records where he had been dictating his patients’ charts. With about twelve more charts to dictate, Jack needed a caffeine boost to help him finish up. As he waited for his turn to pay, Jack’s eyes happened to fall upon a relatively unknown, but familiar figure sitting over by one of the windows. He had seen the blue-eyed stunner around the hospital on a number of occasions, but never really had the opportunity to approach her because either he or she was busy with a patient, another doctor or a nurse. Being the sociable guy that he was - not to mention shameless flirt, Jack was always looking to meet new and interesting people and was interested in finding out if the blonde was as cute and interesting as she had looked.
Dr. Valentine decided then and there that his remaining charts could wait. They weren’t going anywhere. After paying for his coffee, Jack smoothly and confidently glided over to where the blonde was sitting and said, “Hi…” He paused to look at her hospital ID badge, “…Belle… mind if I join you? Thanks.” Before she could respond, Dr. Valentine took a seat across from her. Her name was fitting as she was a picture of beauty. Wavy blonde tresses hung elegantly, framing a soft countenance of a face. Her Caribbean-blue eyes bewitched and sparkled with a brilliant coruscation that spoke of both mischief and allure, competing with her perfect nose and full pouty lips for attention. Maintaining eye contact with her, Jack took a sip of his coffee. “You know, I totally wasn’t expecting to see a beautiful young woman here…” he said with an amicable smile. “…Maybe I still will,” Jack added teasingly.

Belle was sitting in the cafeteria sipping on her cup of coffee. Her saphirre crystal like eyes, starring out the window by her chair. She had the next hour off for lunch and she was just contemplating worries, such as the bird flu deliemma going through the hospital and the masquarde. She didn't know if she would go or not, seeing as it did benifit the hospital, but she didn't want to go alone. Alone...that word rang through her head all the time, she lived alone and she was only ever with anyone else when working. She had no love life, well not after her many heartbreaks. Belle moved a stray strande a bright blonde hair behind her ear.
Belle was wearing a nice blue sweater and black slack matched with black heels. She was lost in her thoughts when someone she had seen around the hospital come up to her. He seemed very cocky. As her eyes scanned over him she couldn't help but notice the cocky man was very handsome. She was very surprised when he began talking with her, and slightly insulting her. Belle opened her delicate mouth and replied to the arrogant man infront of her. " I wasn't expecting to met an ignorant, jackass...but hey it seems to be my lucky day." She smiled and gave him a satisfied smile.

"I wasn't expecting to met an ignorant, jackass...but hey it seems to be my lucky day," Belle said with a smug smile in response to his teasing her.
Ignorant jackass? That certainly was a new one. Jack couldn’t help but let out an amused chuckle. He had no doubt that the exceptionally good-looking blonde sitting across from him, just like every other attractive woman, was used to having dozens upon dozens of lame guys who possessed the mental capacity of a squashed apricot kissing her ass everyday, showering her with the same unoriginal compliments in order to make up for a lack of being interesting and telling her things they thought she would want to hear in the hopes of gaining her approval. To these dopes, this was flirting. Instead of being interesting, funny, and challenging, these predictable lames would rather act like needy wussbags and play things safe by making sure not to say or do anything that might have the potential of upsetting a woman.
Jack looked off to the side and raised his hand as if he were trying to get an imaginary person’s attention. “Excuse me, waitress! Can I get a new girl, please. This one’s a little sour,” Jack said to the imaginary waitress as he pointed to Belle with his thumb. Wearing a bulletproof smile, he then turned back to Belle and said, “You know the first car I ever owned, I named Belle. She was a real hard body with a shapely tailpiece. I still remember what it felt like to run my hands over her headlights.” Make no mistake, Jack was no gentleman. He was chivalrous when he wanted to be. He opened doors for women, carried their packages, pulled out their chairs and when out on a date, he made sure to walk between the girl and the street. But being an ass-kissing “gentleman” just for the sake of trying to impress the females was for the birds as far as Jack was concerned. Show Jack a “gentleman” and he would show you someone who was full of shit.

I still remember what it felt like to run my hands over her headlights.” So he was trying to get her to fight, he would get an interesting one. A mischevious smile plastered on her face, she got up and placed her hand on his inner thigh, just caressing it sweetly leaning in her breath near his ear, " You need to finish that sex change hun, cause no woman is gonna date a man with out his jewels..." Getting up she moved back over to her spot and looked at him lifting a stunning eyebrow elegantly. Belle knew what she was doing she was flirting with a man, she barely knew but at least she was enjoying herself.
Smiling she looked away from him and glanced from the corner of her eye, she moved her hand to push her hair out of her face. " I like a man with a sharp mouth, but I need more than that." She smirked and glanced over in his direction, her saphirre eyes wondering what was going through the his mind. Normally she was quiet, but he had started it and she was about to finish it.
