Rather exhausted from work, Cameron had decided that she'd skip her nightly exercises and get a drink. While there was the chance that she wouldn't get anything with alcohol in it, even just going to the bar helped her relax. Besides it had been awhile since she had properly gone out. Shopping all by herself never really felt social in her opinion. Unless, of course, you counted the teenage boys who gave her a once over; she didn't.

Walking into the Hot Dot she hoped that she wouldn't find herself feeling too lonely. Most people in the bar were with companions. Some were on dates, others were laughing with friends and co-workers. She could even pick out about five nurses and four doctors that she knew worked at Plainsburo. Trying to ignore the nagging feeling that she should have called and asked someone to come with her, Cameron made her way over to the bar.

"A virgin strawberry daiquiri please," she replied when the bartender asked what she wanted. Looking around at all the happy faces, at that moment in time Cameron wanted nothing more than for someone she knew to walk in. It didn't matter who. Just someone who would be willing to talk to her. The loneliness was welling up inside of her and she hated it.

"Are you feeling particularily lame tonight or are you always a puritan?" House asked snidely limping up to the bar drink half-way empty already in hand. His eyes were a little glazed though the smell of alchohal was only a peripheral perfume, there if you expected it but hidden otherwise. Sitting down easily next to her he looked awkwardly to one side, trying to come up with a question. Normally he wouldn't of course approach her in the bar, but as of late he had some problems. Namely with the interns who not only being annoyances now needed a teacher. Although House didn't want to teach them if he was going to be forced to he'd do a damn good job of it. Or at least have someone else do a damn good job of it.

He swirled his drink mock precociously, trying to think of some kind of casual conversation. "Nice coat is it new?" He asked easily staring at her suede khaki coat with no kind of politeness or even genuine appreciation. She hoped she would realize his game and call him on it so he didn't have to come out and say it.

"That's me, the puritan. Always healing with, what was it, sunshine and puppy dogs?" Cameron smiled, her words held a slight sarcasm to them even though they were true for the most part. Except, of course, for that sunshine and puppy dog bit. They didn't seem to work as well as paddles when a patient was going into defib. Wondering why House had even bothered coming to sit next to her she figured that he either needed another drink or was too drunk to care. Seeing as he seemed as pleasant as usual, Cameron decided that he had come for another drink. Despite his snide comment, his company was still better than being alone.

It took her a moment to realize that he was actually asking her about something that didn't relate to himself at all. Quirking an eyebrow in suspicion, Cameron replied with, "You saw it this morning, and the morning before that, and the morning before that." Staring House down, she wondered what he was up to. Deciding that it was probably just easier to ask, she did just that. "What do you want House?"
